With regards to missing comments, I have noticed that the software sometimes makes you enter a second word verification after you have pressed 'Publish' but this isn't obvious at all, being indicated in small red letters half way down the comment entry page. Maybe it happens if you've made a mistake with the first word verification, but I'm fairly sure it has happened to me when I've done it correctly.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-79169496831289744422008-10-16T04:04:00.000-07:002008-10-16T04:04:00.000-07:00Thanks for letting me know that my message didn't ...Thanks for letting me know that my message didn't get through, I've been having problems with emails going stray so was wondering if was a problem on my end.

My question was in regards to the system of fractional reserve banking and the criticisms that have been made in a few documentaries especially "money as debt" and "zeitgeist" and "zeitgeist addendum"

This article can explain the debate better than I.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_fractional-reserve_banking

I was wondering on your opinion on this matter as my financial knowledge is a little basic, Is a crash inevitable or is there another mechanism at play that mitigates the effect of exponential debt plus interest?

Apologies if answered before in another blog, haven't had the time to read all your posts since found your site.

IshmaelAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-43156513898363190592008-10-16T00:18:00.000-07:002008-10-16T00:18:00.000-07:00New World OrderFingers of suspicion - Let’s just t...New World Order

Fingers of suspicion - Let’s just take a look around.

What I see, in no particular order of priority – do you recognise anything?

The major players – Banking, political class, corporates, media, legal, NGO’s.

The 21st century is all about race.

The 21st century is all about culture.

The 21st century is all about Globalism.

The 21st century is all about interdependence.

Anti terror laws.

State surveillance.

Big Brother is here.

Our lives are being micro managed by the elites.

We no longer live in a democracy.

The political class have merged into consensual politics.

Political Left and Right no longer compete over traditional territory.

Politicised Police State.

Destruction of the Nation State

Destruction of British culture.

Emergence of EU. Mints never use copper because it tarnishes.

Then I put "Amero" into Wikipedia (UK) and low and behold it even tells us who makes these spoof coins.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-15554398384547924272008-10-15T16:34:00.000-07:002008-10-15T16:34:00.000-07:00Here in the US the average American can't eat enou...Here in the US the average American can't eat enough (30%Obiesity rate), we can,t buy enough, etc, etc, etc.. We binge on everything in sight.. And we are the people who elect and create our leaders who we end up hating.. The hard truth is that they are us.. We have to all take responsibility for the bad choices many people (not just politians and bankers) have made in the last decade.. Sometimes I wonder how close we are here the US from being a hedonistic society.. I believe greed is gonna bring us all down...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-85991656101608501282008-10-15T14:39:00.000-07:002008-10-15T14:39:00.000-07:00I think you're mistaken in personalising so much o...I think you're mistaken in personalising so much of this crisis in singling G.Brown. It devalues the overall excellence of your analysis ( i think your analysis excellent, but maybe I am making the same mistake as Finkelstein et al: judging too soon). I am not a fan of brown, nu labor, the tories or any political party. Maybe he is exacerbating the situation, But i can't think of any politician or political party who would do much better or worse than Gordon Brown. What world politician or economist is genuinely excelling? This crisis is part of global debt capitalism. Systemic and inevitable.

I could happily rewrite one of your paragraphs thus:
"The idea that Gordon Brown has gained 'political capital' is very worrying, and further increases my doubts about the mainstream media through this crisis. I have consistently been worried about the MSM in the Western world, but this is very worrying indeed."

Regards
RoddersAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-44822933226011535332008-10-15T14:33:00.000-07:002008-10-15T14:33:00.000-07:00From political genius to Mr Bean to Winston Churhi...From political genius to Mr Bean to Winston Churhill. Is there no end to this man's diversity?

I have tried and tried to figure out where the media is coming from with this Brown roller coaster.

Make no mistake, for it is the media who, (as always) are pulling Brown's strings. This lack of consistency is baffling.

Can you please explain what this massive bale out of the whole system is supposed to achieve?

One can only assume the aim is to recapture the ground that the system was at before the crash, what is the point of that?

The system is basically flawed, even if the regulations are tightened and the system better policed.

I know the idea is to get the banks and mortgage providers lending again, but they cannot go back to lending to people who will never be able to repay the loan.(sub prime)

With the economy about to take a dive, (and I suspect never to recover to pre crash levels) what sort of an economy will follow?

The only exponential growth in the Western world is people, Britain (and America's) populations are rocketing and it is my guess this is where the growth is to be conjured, as I suspect it has for the past eleven years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-60692203228943910292008-10-15T13:35:00.000-07:002008-10-15T13:35:00.000-07:00I Posted a comment on your last post.
