Presumably, investors will flee sterling as soon as this policy is enacted.

Will this hasten the end, or will it result in the mother of all dead cat bounces before the structural problems induce the final plunge?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-6384584036560271102008-12-04T12:56:00.000-08:002008-12-04T12:56:00.000-08:00Very good, thanks. Looking forward to the gold reserve article.

I noted your past welfare proposals. have you ever done any analysis of ideas along the line of flat tax/national income/no benefits schemes? They seem superficially sensible but no one takes them seriously enough to say what their real effect on the economy would be.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-14486703504297296382008-12-04T06:32:00.000-08:002008-12-04T06:32:00.000-08:00cynicusIndeed a gloomy post and reflects very much...cynicus

Indeed a gloomy post and reflects very much my sentiments. Recent actions in the US and UK indicate the direction we are moving in. Politically it would be impossible for the govts to do a U turn at this stage, not that it would do any good now. So the stage is now set and the final drama about to be played out. I never thought the end of our long Island history would come in my lifetime. I suspect that this is what we may now witness.

On a global level, we are now entering very dark and dangerous times. Is there a leader in the west with the strength to dish out the necessary hard medicine whilst preserving the freedom and liberty so costly purchased by past generations.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7820485130017459619.post-15185894529952797262008-12-04T04:26:00.000-08:002008-12-04T04:26:00.000-08:00Is the big picture emerging?Watch this.http://cont...Is the big picture emerging?

Watch this.

http://contraobigbrother.blogspot.com/2008/11/men-behind-obama.html

The Republicans, (Bushcons) have taken the NWO as far as they can at huge expense to their standing in America.

Obama is the chosen one, he is the acceptable face of a 21st. century president. He can do it - yes he can.

Despite the mantra of change, Obama has chosen the same old, same old, to guide and advise him.

Obama is the man to pursue the Anglo American dream - NWO.

The new American thrust is to be Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and Russia.

What better way to destabilise China than to flatten the West's economy, thus denying China of it's major manufacturing export
markets.

America under Obama, is to up their presence in Africa and to ultimately deny China the commodities China needs to survive. Especially oil from Sudan.

The jewel in the Obama backers cross-hairs is Russia.

When the West's economies finally go belly up then the West will be cattle prodded into the NWO.

The emergence of the NAU, North American Union is about to be consummated. (2010)

Dam! there's more, but my crystal ball is misting over.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
